Role Description
The ASC Operating Room (OR) Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the operating rooms at The Surgery Center of Carmel. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Carmel, IN. Core responsibilities include managing staff schedules, ensuring exceptional patient care, maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations, monitoring inventory levels, and implementing quality improvement initiatives. The ASC OR Manager will lead a team of healthcare professionals, collaborate with surgeons and support staff, and ensure the efficient flow of surgical operations to meet patient and organizational needs.
Qualifications
Leadership and management skills, including team supervision, staff training, and performance evaluation.
Organizational and operational skills, such as scheduling, inventory management, and quality assurance.
Knowledge of healthcare regulations, compliance, and standards for operating room procedures.
Effective communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills to collaborate with diverse teams.
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in nursing, healthcare management, or a related field (required);
Previous experience in an ASC leadership or operating room management role is strongly preferred.
Candidates should hold any relevant state licensures or certifications as required for the role.
Proficiency in using healthcare management software and tools for scheduling, inventory, and reporting processes is a plus.
